EKU provides battery integration services from the cell to industrial applications. By understanding specific industrial operations, we design battery capacity, management software, and custom enclosures to fit a variety of needs.
Our battery integration expertise encompasses energy storage, peak shaving, power optimization, and standby/backup power.
Simulations & Engineering Consulting
Our tools and high-level expertise allow us to support a wide range of studies, simulations, and designs. From electrical low and medium-voltage FMEA and arc-flash studies to mechanical 3D CAD models and FEA, we also excel in embedded software and control module design.

Thanks to our extensive knowledge of electrical and battery systems, EKU is leading electrification efforts across many sectors. From simple electrical power support to hybridization and full electric retrofit and development, we strive to create efficient and low to zero emissions systems. Some of our ongoing electrification projects include mobile machinery full electrification, microgrid power distribution/optimization, and industrial equipment hybridization.
EKU’s electrical capabilities in electrical equipment operations extend to power distribution for mobile microgrids. From AC/DC medium voltage grid designs to mobile switchgear controls, our grid management services provide smart, safe, and efficient system designs.
At EKU our advancements and technological innovation enable us to provide a full range of whole-system integrated solutions across multiple sectors. Our projects and products cover several features including power, monitoring, communication, and control.
A central part of EKU’s electrification and automation platform that supports mild hybrid initiatives. The battery has the ability to start large engines of up to 120 liters and is both scalable and customizable in voltage for industrial applications.
A smart diesel or natural gas-fueled heater solution. With up to 70 kW of controlled heating power, it defrosts equipment and guarantees system operation for a wide range of temperature ranges and extreme environments.
Engine Standby Controller (ESC)
Engine Standby Controller (ESC)
A fully integrated start-stop solution for industrial processes that replaces the existing battery while adding an external fluids circulation and heating system to the powertrain. The use of the ESC leads to the elimination of idle time, high fuel savings, carbon emission reduction, and lower maintenance costs on the engine.
A smart automation cloud platform that acts as an analytic solution for use in field operations and assists with strategic technology management, enabling KPI-based state monitoring that accelerates the overall improvement process.
Electrification & Automation Platform Projects
An automation software solution project at EKU using cutting-edge technology to both monitor and act as a communication channel for accurate and actionable data. Contributing to faster, smarter, safer fleet operations and fleet maintenance.
Fuel Optimization (Fely)
An advisor system based on the Sophia semi-automation platform focused on optimizing fuel consumption and distributing the engines life consumption during operations.
